The Centre, also known as Al-Aziziyah Masjid is the first masjid (mosque) to be established in the Channel Islands. Jersey, (not to be confused with New Jersey!) is close to the coast of France, and approximately 85 miles from the south of England.
Muslims in the Island can be dated back since WWII. Today, Muslims from around the world have settled in the island. They work, live and enjoy its rich culture and beautiful surroundings.
For a small community, the masjid is a hub of activity, mainly serving the five prayers, but also hosting community events and classes.
